Obviously, it’s A.R. Rahman’s ‘Semozhi’ theme that is aired across each and every nook and corners of Tamil Nadu. Filmed by Gowtham Menon, it has a wonderful lyrics penned by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
And then, there is Shakira’s stunningly spectacular ‘Wakka Wakka’ – theme song for FIFA 2010. It’s worth mentioning that the song has been viewed continuously in satellite channels and websites due to different visual versions.
One of the backdrops is about the wild animals in African forests playing football while the other is about football players. The final one is about Shakira herself appearing with mind-boggling dance steps.

Micheal Jackson was murdered for money
Michael Jackson's sister LaToya claims that the King of Pop was murdered because he was "worth so much more dead than alive".
LaToya Jackson insisted the "Thriller" singer's relatives and fans now deserve "the truth" about his death.
"I never had a doubt (he was murdered). You must remember from the day that I found out that Michael was no longer with us, when my mother screamed 'he's dead' on the phone, I just went into this, 'Who did it?'" mirror.co.uk quoted her as saying.
"Michael was murdered for his catalogue - that's the bottom line. He was murdered for his catalogue and they knew that, and they knew Michael was much more, worth so much more dead than alive. His children deserve the truth. I think his parents deserve the truth, his family and his fans."
"Personally I think it is a slap in the face, not just to Michael but to the entire family. It's totally unfair, it's wrong and it was not an accident," she added.
Talking about her mother's grief after Jackson's death at the age of 50, she added: "I could see the pain and the sorrow in her eyes. But she was strong - she chose not to cry and I think she chose that for the children."

Sachin Tendulkar Captain in Air Force
The Indian Air Force (IAF) is soon to honour master blaster Sachin Tendulkar with the rank of Honorary Group Captain.
According to IAF sources, Air Headquarters has already finalised Tendulkar's name for the honour. There was considerable debate as to what rank the great batsman should be given. Wing Commander and Squadron Leader were deemed too junior for the national icon, who has played for India for over 20 years.
Sources said the Air Headquarters has already forwarded the necessary files to the Defence Ministry.
The Prime Minister Office (PMO) and the President's consents are required before awarding any rank of the armed forces. So, Tendulkar's fans will have to wait for some time before seeing their icon in IAF uniform.
In 2008, the Territorial Army made film star Mohanlal an Honorary Colonel. It conferred the same honour on Kapil Dev, while industrialist Vijaypath Singhania was made an Air Commodore for holding a world record in high altitude hot balloon flying.

Proof of that recently came when they turned down an offer to promote an Indian herbal aphrodisiac despite being offered crores.
A source confirms, "They were approached to endorse the product but refused. Though the concoction consists high quality extracts from some of the world's most exotic herbs, it's a potent and effective natural sex enhancer."
No viagra, please!
The buzz is that the aphrodisiac contains viagra. The source adds, "John's manager was approached for a couple endorsement but she said that they don't back products that have viagra and said no.
The jodi is committed to health and fitness and Bipasha has promised to endorse only health products."
When contacted Bipasha says, "I strongly believe in credible products and these are in sync with my passion for fitness and health.I am very happy to be associated with products that encourage people to switch to a healthier lifestyle. But I have never been approached for the other thing (the herbal aphrodisiac)."
However she stresses she would endorse products not connected to health and fitness but are "In sync with my personality. It could be cosmetics, automobiles, luxury products, fashion goods, home appliances etc."
Bips endorses a brand of honey only because the brand is committed to health and fitness. Says the actress, "I strongly believe in credible products and this one is in sync with my passion for health.

Indian Rupee Symbol
The Union Cabinet will today decide on the symbol for Indian Rupee, a privilege (unique identity) available only to major currencies like dollar, euro, pound, sterling and yen.
The proposal, said to be prompted by the growing influence of the Indian economy in the global arena, involves a shortlist of five symbols (finalists above) for the Indian rupee drawn up the finance ministry, reflecting the Indian ethos and culture (via)
