Gossip: Diva Fever and Storm Lee appeared on Daybreak this morning

Storm Lee turns on mentor Louis Walsh, saying he feels 'set up'

There was more humiliation for Simon Cowell last night as the X Factor mentor lost his second act in as many weeks.

The judge was forced to accept the blame for the departure of camp Diva Fever, who were voted off along with Scottish-American singer Storm Lee.

Duo Josef Al-Smadi and Craig Saggers both put their early exit down to a bad song choice after Cowell picked a brand new track, Duck Sauce's Barbra Streisand, for them to perform on Saturday night.

Appearing on Daybreak this morning, the pair said that they were not surprised by their elimination. 'We kind of knew - with the song that we had - that it would get lost,' Saggers told hosts Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles. 'We were worried all week.'

Bad song choice: Diva Fever admitted 'we were worried all week... but were afraid to speak up'

Al-Smadi added: 'Sometimes you are afraid to speak up because you think, you know, they might start thinking we’re divas.

'I mean we did express that we didn't like the song really to start off with. We thought because it's really new in the charts at the minute, and we thought a lot of people might not know it.

'And the target audience that we’re going for probably wouldn’t know it – it’s more like the clubbers and students that know that song.

'But Simon said he had a vision for it and he said he thought we'd do really well with it.'

Responding to the accusations on Sunday night's show, Cowell conceded: 'I accept full responsibility OK, I let you down and I am sorry.'

Saggers shot back: 'Well you need to make it up!'

Attack: After saying he was 'relieved' to get the boot, he revealed: 'The truth of it is that I feel a little bit set up by my mentor'

But the pair's criticism of Simon Cowell was nothing compared to the scathing attack by Storm Lee on his mentor.

The rocker appears to have turned on the talent show, and said of being voted off: 'I actually strangely feel quite relieved.
