Anything you can do: Meg Ryan's adorable daughter mimics her mum on school run

Little mimic: Meg Ryan's little daughter, Daisy True tried to give her famous mum a helping hand as she hailed a cab in New York yesterday

Every little girl wants to be just like their mother at some point.

Meg Ryan's five year old adopted daughter, Daisy True, tried to mimic her actress mum as the pair walked through New York yesterday on the way to school.

Meg, 48, and Daisy stood on the curb as the When Harry Met Sally star attempted to hail a taxi cab and the little girl gave a helping hand launching her arm in the air and waving it around just like her mum.

Daisy was also wearing a hat very similar to her mum's newspaper boy style cap.

The little girl could definitely learn a thing or two from her famous mother as Ryan appears to be a cab hailing pro - piercing her lips and letting out an ear shattering whistle at one point in true New Yorker style.

Meg adopted Daisy in January 2006 when she was just 14-months-old.

The actress was previously married to actor Dennis Quaid from 1991 to 2001 and the couple have a son together - Jack Henry, who was born in April 1992.

The 18-year-old splits his time between staying with his mum in New York and his father in Los Angeles.

Real pro: Ryan busted out the cab hailing big guns, piercing her lips and letting out a whistle

Meg was last seen in Serious Moonlight back in 2008, a film about a high powered attorney (Ryan) who duct tapes her adulterous husband (played by Timothy Hutton) to the toilet just moments before their home is invaded by burglars.

Although a return to acting doesn't appear to be on the cards for Meg any time soon, she is working on a new film, Admissions, for which she is the executive producer.

The movie, about a man and a woman who meet and fall in love at a college open day, is currently in pre-production and due for release sometime in 2011.
