But reality television star Kate Gosselin seemed a little distracted from her mummy duties as she took her twins, Mady and Kara to a music store today.
The mother of eight, who became famous after living out her life on TLC's Jon and Kate Plus Eight, stopped by Menchey Music in Lancaster, Pennsylvania this afternoon with the 11-year-old twins to buy some sheet music.
But while the girls browsed the music books and made their choices, Kate, 35, who also had six-year-old sextuplets, spent the whole time looking at her mobile phone.
She was even typing a message as the cashier rung up their purchases.
Despite the phone distraction Kate and the girls left the store with a bag full of new sheet music for them to learn.
The mum of eight has had a busy couple of weeks, juggling her responsibilities at home now the children are all back in school, with work commitments.

It was reported that he had been having an affair with Haylie Glassman, the 22-year old daughter of Kate's plastic surgeon Dr. Lawrence Glassman who carried out her tummy tuck in 2004, after she gave birth to the sextuplets.
