Devoted mother: Britney Spears watches son Sean Preston's Little League game with boyfriend Jason Trawick in Los Angeles yesterday

Britney Spears played the doting mother yesterday as she enjoyed watching her son play baseball.

The once-troubled pop star attended her son Sean Preston’s Little League game with her boyfriend Jason Trawick, as well as her father Jamie, mother Lynne and ex-husband Kevin Federline.

As she watched on her younger son, Jayden James, sat happily on his mother's knee.

It was the second time in less than a week that the singer has taken time out of her busy music schedule to spend time watching her son on the playing field - and meet with her ex Federline.

Sitting beside her talent agent boyfriend Jason, Britney looked delighted to be watching five-year-old Sean Preston play with his young team, the Westhills Yankees.

The 29-year-old singer currently has two singles out at the moment from her upcoming album, Femme Fatale and appeared to be enjoying taking time out for some family time.

Just six days ago Britney was at the same sporting ground with Jason and was spotted holding a friend’s newborn baby.

The couple looked the picture of happiness as they couple cooed and cuddled their friend's son as they sat in the stands.

The couple have been dating for 18 months but Trawick, 37, who is close to her sons, has no children of their own so he and Britney may be considering having a baby of their own.

The pair cheered on Sean Preston as he played for his team Westhills Yankees, which is coached by his father Kevin Federline, who Britney was married to for three years and has another son, four-year-old Jayden.

Showing he has inherited the confidence of his pop star mother, Sean ignored the cameras as he strutted around, enjoying the attention of his extended family.

And luckily for Britney, there seemed to be no animosity between her ex-husband and Trawick as they ran into one another at the match.

It was also the second time Britney has been photographed with Federline since they separated in 2006.

Federline, 32, coached his son's team as his girlfriend, Victoria Prince, offered encouragement from the sidelines.

While Kevin and Jason are not exactly friends, the men seemed happy to share the same family time for the second time in one week.

Younger brother Jayden, four, watched the match with his mother, cheering on his brother from the sidelines.

After the game, Kevin and Victoria joined Britney's mother, Lynne, and father, Jamie, as they took Sean Preston home.

Britney and Jason didn't look far behind. They were all smiles as they gathered their things and headed outside with Jayden to join them.
