Mel, 55, bought the compound in January 1993 for an undisclosed amount of money and the house was where he and his wife Robyn brought up their seven children.

With all of his legal drama behind him Mel Gibson is no doubt ready for a fresh start.

The Oscar winning actor and director has just listed his rustic Spanish style Malibu mansion for a whopping $14.5 million.

Lavender Hill Farm is nestled in the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the famous Sierra Retreat gated community where Britney Spears once lived while married to Kevin Federline.

The house sits on 2.57 acres and measures 5,403 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms including a private second floor master suite with it's own sitting room and open fireplace.

It also has two walk-in closets, and a private extra large bathroom with a yellow, black and white tiled floor and twin sinks.

The huge main house also includes a large kitchen and open plan breakfast room and family room, a small library lined with built in book shelves, a media/music room, office, exercise room and conservatory.
