Lou Dobbs Quits CNN - Watch Video

Lou Dobbs of CNN fame announced yesterday on his television program that he was leaving the network effective immediately.

Nobody really knows yet if he was pushed out, or if he left on his own accord. His contract was not set to expire until next year.

Recently, CNN has dropped to last place among all cable news networks, and some insiders feel that Lou was alienating the younger viewers.

Lou's rants about immigration, healthcare, war and politics seem to come across to younger viewers as if they were listening to their own fathers rant at the dinner table after a hard day at work.

Dobbs is a legacy CNN personality, starting under Ted Turner and riding the wave since the inception of the network. With the exception of a brief absence to start Space.com, Dobbs has had a show in some fashion or another since the early days.

I won't miss him. Lou was one of the reasons I stopped watching CNN. Another reason was Wolf Blitzer. I finally grew tired of his monotone voice and personality. When they paired him with Jack Cafferty I felt like I was watching two curmudgeons complaining about everything in the world. There was not one positive, happy, hopeful word from them - ever.

A decision on who will replace Dobbs is expected to be announced Thursday.

The video below is Dobbs exit speech. I suspect we will see him again someday, and then I will stop watching him there also.

Yoko Ono Sucks…

I don't know if any of you happened to see the Jimmy Fallon Show last night. The musical guest was Yoko Ono and The Plastic Ono Band with guitar lead by her son Sean Lennon.

Wow, all I can say is this woman sucks as a musician. I have never really liked her, but last night was beyond bad - I was actually embarrassed for her, the band and Jimmy Fallon.

Ono grunted out "Waiting For The D Train". Any really, grunt is giving her too much credit. The song basically consisted of grunts, wails, yells and rhythmic groans.

She seemed to always be singing flat - if you can grunt flat, and I could not understand one word.

I suppose she thinks it is some kind of interpretative singing, but really - it sucked. While the video below is not from the Jimmy Fallon Show, it is a live performance of the same song.

You be the judge.

Hannah Montana Cherries And Disney. Really?

Just when you thought celebrity product endorsement could not get any stranger - it has.

Miley Cyrus and the brains at Disney have decided to promote both the Hannah Montana brand and the Cherry industry at the same time.

We're not joking. "Hannah Montana" cherries are coming to a store near you! Disney has created the brand of "Hannah Montana" cherries featuring Miley Cyrus along with her "Hannah Montana: The Movie" persona.

Two years ago, Disney started branding its stars and movies with only healthy foods and ended ties with traditional outlets like McDonald's.

With all the nude, semi-nude, and suggestive photos that have been leaked to the net, and now a pole dancing appearance on the Teen Choice Awards, does it really make since to tie Miley Cyrus to cherries?

What's next? Michael Vick Dog Treats. Sometimes you just have to wonder about this industry.

Michael Jackson Dead Of Heart Attack At Age 50 - Last Photo

Pop star Michael Jackson has died. He was 50 years old.

The singer was found unresponsive at his home in California Thursday afternoon. He was rushed to the UCLA medical center but could not be revived. A Los Angeles Fire Department source told reporters that Jackson was in full cardiac arrest when rescue units arrived on scene.

Aides told a doctor that Jackson collapsed after receiving a shot of the drug Demerol. His breathing grew weaker and weaker and suffered a heart attack. Police have opened an investigation into the arrest but stress they do not suspect criminal activity.

"Year One" - Review And Trailer - Jack Black And Michael Cera

Summer is here and school is out. That means the beginning of the summer movie blitz - starting with Apatow's "Year One."

Starring Jack Black and Michael Cera you can imagine the type of humor in store. Directed by "Ghost Buster's" Harold Ramis, this film explores what happens when two cavemen are kicked out of their tribe.

In year 1, Zed (Jack Black) and his caveman friend, Oh (Michael Cera), are two bungling cavemen just trying to survive. Zed is a bad hunter with no skills, and Oh is a plant gatherer. Zed is thrown out of his village after he eats the forbidden fruit, and Oh decides to travel with Zed on his heroic journey to the end of the earth.

They find a much different world outside of their prehistoric village. They find themselves wandering in Bible country meeting Cain, Able, Abraham, and other Bible people along the way, and are sold into slavery ending up in Sodom.

There is a definite "Monty Python" look and feel to the film, and the jokes seem to come at breakneck speed at times. Most are funny. Some take a minute to sink in. And others are downright sacrilegious.

You can imagine what happens when they encounter Adam and Eve (Harold Ramis and Rhoda Griffis), Cain and Abel (David Cross and Paul Rudd), and Abraham (Hank Azaria).

In an interview with MTV, Cera described it as a comedy set in Biblical times with Black's character, Zed, looking for some kind of meaning for his life.

Overall, Black and Cera pull it off, and seem to have a summer smash hit on their hands - and probably a cult following.

The movie is rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content throughout, brief strong language and comic violence. This is a last minute change as the original rating had been "R".

As for the scandal over photos of him in drag that appeared on the Internet this spring, he says he forgot to take down photos from his profile on a social network for the Burning Man festival in Nevada. He admits, "I've only dressed in drag three or four times. ... I don't tuck and wear breasts, that's not me."

Ah yes, a good clean American boy.

Steven Colbert Shaves His Head For Iraq Shows

Comedy Central comedian and funnyman Steven Colbert is off to Camp Victory in Baghdad this week to tape his shows and entertain the troops.

After weeks of super secrecy, a little bit of news has leaked out - the host of "The Colbert Report" has shaved his head military style!

That's right. The ultra conservative comedian, wearing a camouflage suit, had General Raymond Odierno shave his head during the first show.

The four shows are being taped in the domed marble hall at Saddam Hussein's former Al Faw Palace will air this week starting Monday.

Colbert has promoted the trip for weeks, but only vaguely because the military urged caution and would not let him divulge much information.

Instead, he introduced segments with the theme: "Where in the World and When in Time is Stephen Colbert Going to Be in the Persian Gulf?"

The shows are the first ever cable comedy show to be broadcast and transmitted from a war zone.

Way to go Steven!

I would leave him to his own sexual devices. He liked to be tied up. And he could tie himself up ... He spent days planning a different feature. He would go to a hardware store and buy the stuff."

Last week, a Thai publication called Thai Rath published what it said was the death photo taken by officials at the scene. The death picture showed a man hanging by his neck with his hands tied above his head. It is noy clear if the man hanging in the picture is Carradine.

Video - Barack Obama On Jay Leno's Tonight Show

Jay Leno welcomed Barack Obama to the Tonight Show Thursday night, and it was interesting.

The President sat down with Jay and talked about politics, the economy and adjusting to his new lifestyle.

Obama talked about "Life in the bubble", with secret service not letting him walk anywhere, and following close behind with a defibulator. We also got to see Kevin Eubanks wearing a suit for the first time in history.

Barack mentioned being president is a lot like being on American Idol, where everybody is a Simon Cowell.

One hot topic was the AIG bonuses, and The President said he was "stunned" when the insurance giant moved forward with the bonus payouts. He actually did a pretty good job of explaining the whole AIG mess.

Jay also brought up the million-dollar question, "Shouldn't people be going to jail?"

Other topics included Treasury Secretary Tim Geitner, the Washington blame game, toxic assets, lack of credit and bank lending, health care and energy.

Jay asked about flying on Air Force One and the White House bowling ally, where Obama said he still plays like he was in the Special Olympics after bowling a 129.

North Carolina Tar Heels are the Presidents winning pick for the final four.

Watchmen Hits Theaters - Review & Movie Trailer

The spring box-office season got its unofficial start this weekend with Billy Crudup in "Watchmen".

Based on Alan Moore's famous comic book series, "Watchmen" is a story set in an alternative 1985, where the world is edging closer to the brink of nuclear war, and a plot to eliminate a band of retired crime fighters is under way.

But by whom? And why?

It is up to these ex-crime fighters to investigate the plot that seems to go beyond the unbelievable.

The story begins with Nixon in the White House, the Cold War growing hotter, and the Watchmen sitting on the sidelines. Dan Dreiberg (Patrick Wilson) has retired his Nite Owl costume; Laurie Jupiter (Malin Akerman) no longer dresses in spandex; and Adrian Veidt (Matthew Goode) in now a businessman.

Looming over everyone is Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup), a nuclear scientist who's been transformed into a godlike figure - radiant, omnipresent and disinterested. Together, they must find who is trying to eliminate them.

Along the way, they uncover a plot that shakes the very foundation of our way of life.

The film is rated R for strong graphic violence, sexuality, nudity and language. There are lengthy sex scenes and a lot of nudity, as Dr. Manhattan never wears any clothes. The soundtrack is powerful and syncs well with the plot.

Nude Photo Of Madonna Sells For $37,500

We know times are tough and people will do anything to raise the rent money, but Madonna seems to have it all figured out.

On Thursday, a naked photograph of the singer, taken when she was only twenty years old, sold at a New York auction for over $37,000. Not bad work, if you can get it.

The singer, at that time known as Madonna Louise Ciccone, was a struggling dancer when she answered a newspaper advertisement looking for a nude model.

The photo was first seen in Playboy Magazine in 1979, and was one of six from the photo shoot that appeared in the magazine; the other five were sold in an auction in 2003 bringing in more than $7,000.

Another photograph sold Thursday for $18,750. In the photo, also seen in Playboy in the 1980s, the singer is wearing sports lingerie, has curly blond hair and a sexy facial expression.

Her last music project was heard in the smash hit movie "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. She wrote and performed the song "Jump" on the film's soundtrack.

Joaquin Phoenix's Strange Letterman Appearance - Video

Wow. If you missed the David Letterman show Wednesday night you missed a very uncomfortable visit by Joaquin Phoenix.

Maybe he was just having an off night or was under the influence of drugs, but it got weird to say the least.

He chewed gum non-stop and then stuck it under Letterman's desk, he answered questions with a simple "yes" or "no", and was less than helpful in his efforts to plug his new movie 'Two Lovers" with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Joaquin seemed to take offense when Dave asked him about his beard, and told the host he was not there to be made to feel weird about it. Ouch. When confused by the audience laughter, he asked the host, "What do you have them on? Nitrous?"

He stared blankly at the host when asked simple questions, and it was rare when you could understand his comments - when he talked at all. He did have one strange admission - he is working on his hip-hop music career. Really?

The interview ended with Dave saying, "Joaquin, I'm sorry you couldn't be here tonight", and apologizing to Farrah Faucet, his admitted worst guest ever - until last night.

Christian Bale Erupts On "Terminator Salvation" Movie Set

Remember last year when Christian Bale was arrested for exploding in a fit of anger before his "Dark Knight" premier? Well, it looks like the actor is up to his angry fits again.

A new audiotape has surfaced of Bale on the set of "Terminator Salvation", and it is bad.

It is over five minutes long, and contains explicit language of the actor upset with a DP (Director of Photography) who ruined a scene by walking into the shot.

We're all for a little elite behavior by celebrities, but this goes beyond the norm.

Over and over, the actor yells and screams at the DP, and threatens to walk off the set if he is not fired. You can hear the nastiness in his voice.

After apologizing profusely, the employee is continually asked, "What were you thinking", and "What the hell is your problem".

It was so bad; management sent the tape to the insurance company overseeing the production in case there are ramifications. If Bale walks off the set, the movie is done and a lot of people are out a lot of money. If they can show he acted unprofessionally and walked away without good reason, the insurance company might have a cause to go after the diva for a refund.

You can listen to the audio here

Bale is also working on the films "Killing Pablo", the true story of how the Colombian gangster, Pablo Escobar, was assassinated and his Medellin cocaine cartel shut down, and "Public Enemies", starring with Johnny Depp about the Feds trying to take down notorious gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a crime wave in the 1930s

"Terminator Salvation" is due for release this May and tells the story of what happens after Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, and a group of survivors led by John Connor struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job.

Olympic Winner Michael Phelps Photographed Hitting A Bong

It seems that maybe wealth and fame does have the ability to change a person after all.

The outwardly shy and innocent Olympic Gold winner Michael Phelps seems to have a party animal side to his personality.

Ever since he won in China last year, the 14-time gold medal winner has been seen and photographed, in public, bars, universities, and just about everywhere else - getting a buzz on.

Numerous sightings and reports have surfaced of his out of control drinking in VIP rooms and late night parties, and a growing number of comments from those around him seem to paint a picture of someone who is out of control.

The latest problem for the new celebrity is a widely circulated picture of him smoking pot from a bong.

One party crasher who saw his actions told the News of the World: "He was out of control from the moment he got there. If he continues to party like that I'd be amazed if he ever won any more medals again."

Phelps' people are in a panic over the picture; fearing advertisers will dump the swimming sensation. As Olympic officials have vowed to crack down on drug abuse, it could also cost him any chance of competing in the next series of games.

His commercial endorsements are managed by 'Octagon', who deals with big brand companies around the world. They admitted to reporters that the use of pot would be "a major taint" on his career.

Drinking has got him in trouble before. In 2004, at age 19, he received eighteen months of probation for driving while drunk and underage.

He has been on every magazine cover in the free world, hosted Saturday Night Live, appeared on The Colbert Report, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Entertainment Tonight and a Barbara Walters special.

He has also tried his luck at series television with guest appearances on Entourage, 24/7 Chicago, The Apprentice and Rome Is Burning.

Time will tell if the star athlete can pull himself out of this mess, or if he will fade away as another lost sole caught up in the world of the rich and famous.

Jett Travolta, Son Of John Travolta Dies In Bahamas

A sad day for John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston as news was released that their 16-year old son Jett Travolta has died while vacationing in the Bahamas.

According to one report, Jett was last seen going into the bathroom of their private suite at the Old Bahama Bay Resort sometime yesterday.

A caretaker discovered Jett's body around 10:00 am in the bathroom. The report says Jett suffered from seizures.

Initial police comments indicate Jett hit his head in a bathtub. An autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of death.

Jett was the oldest child of Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, who also have an 8-year-old daughter. The family arrived on a private plane Tuesday and had been vacationing at their home in the resort community.

For many years now, there have been rumors about the Travolta's being in denial about their son's Autism, relying on their religion to address the situation.

According to Scientology teachings, Jett has been given the status of "degraded" where the church says he can cure himself by working harder on the church's teachings.

The family continues to deny that Jett had Autism, claiming that their son's condition is Kawasaki syndrome, a disease characterized by high fever, skin rash and swelling of the lymph nodes.
