Baby on board: Amy Poehler only has eyes for her sleeping infant son as she heads to the Farmers Market in Beverly Hills

Amy Poehler has every reason for her broad smile.

The Saturday Night Live star is enjoying her first Thanksgiving weekend as a family of four.

Abel James Arnett, who arrived on August 6, joined big brother Archie, two, and father Arrested Development star Will Arnett, at the holiday table yesterday.

Poehler, 39, was amongst the hordes sticking up for the holiday on Wednesday, taking her baby son to the Farmers Market in Beverly Hills.

But while battling her way around the crowds of frenzied shoppers can't have been fun, the smile never left the comedian's face.

Abel seemed blissfully unaware of the fuss, sleeping soundly in his carrier as his mother selected six carrier bags of shopping.

Poehler, dressed in a warm red cardigan, striped top and jeans, married her husband in 2003 after dating for two years.

'From the moment we met, it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me,' Arnett has said. 'It was great.

'We didn't know what we were doing, and all of a sudden she got SNL, so we kind of decided that I guess I had to move to New York; otherwise it wasn't going to work out.

'So I moved back to New York and it was the greatest. It was great. Probably the best thing that's ever happened to me is Amy.'

The talented twosome have frequently starred together in various projects on both the big and small screen.

Poehler had a recurring role in Arrested Development playing Arnett's character, George Oscar Bluth's nameless wife.

The two also played a quasi- incestuous brother-sister ice skating team in the 2007 film Blades of Glory and appeared together in Horton Hears a Who!, On Broadway, Spring Breakdown and Monsters Vs Aliens.

Arnett has also guest starred on Poehler's NBC comedy Parks and Recreation.
They obviously love working together and compliment each other's comedic style and timing perfectly.

'They're the funniest married couple I know,' Ben Stiller, who directed them in Blades of Glory, says of the two actors.

'They have such a similar sense of humour. They finish each other's sentences.'
